my friend wants me to teach her guitar and she is just starting out
she into acoustic music and im into metal so i dont really know what to teach her besides chords and my classical stuff wich idk if she could play her first time picking up a guitar.

any suggestions?
P.S. this is what the alphabet would look like without the letters Q and R
Chords are the best way to start, first the basic open chords, then barre chords. It's also good to teach some basic theory while at it, she's got to learn her intervals and her fretboard so she'll be able to learn how to make chords and how to play them with different voicings. Also basic scale knowledge. Learning scales will help her learn the fretboard, and the Major & Minor scales along with their modes will offer a shitload of knowledge.
