what is the most reliable pedal brand out there. (don't let price be an option). Also what is the best wah for funk/rock/
#2
Boss pedals are probably the most reliable. Build like a tank and they have a good costumer service. Shame they only make a few good pedals.

About the wah question; it really depends on your budget. but most people are gonna say Crybaby 535Q or a Vox Wah.

reliable? BOSS... effects can be eh... but it'll always do what BOSS meant for it to do and it'll never break...

I like my Vox wah (after i modded it to my desires)

BOSS pedals are definitely the most reliable although some of there effects leave a lot to be desired. For a wah you can't go wrong with the 535Q. I never tried a Vox wah so I can't comment on those.

I would say that BOSS and MXR/Dunlop are very reliable. Both are built to withstand a nuclear bomb.

Why not? Everytime there's a wah thread 75% says 535Q, 10% says Vox and 15% says something else/good.

I'm not saying I think he should get a 535Q or Vox, I'm waiting for his budget.

They mightn't sound the best, but at a non-boutique level, BOSS pedals would be the most reliable.

For the wah... Ibanez WH10 or the 535Q.

My DD-3's output jack quit working after like a year of use. There's no brand that is inherently more reliable than another. You have to look at it at a pedal-by-pedal level, I think.

cornish are meant to be ridiculously over-engineered. I haven't tried them, and I'm being deliberately obtuse and facetious because you said price wasn't a factor.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

Durability? BOSS Reliability? Probably Boss....only because if one DOES break down, you dont have to wait 6 months or something ridiculous for one to be made for you. Sound-wise, Boss may not have the best stuff...however, they will definitely survive the nuclear holocaust....
I've bought, sold, and traded more gear than I care to admit.
