Michael Savage.

We meet again.

who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe,

Oh look, an opinion piece from the telegraph. Sorry, every single National academy of science in the industrialised world and every scientific association of national or international standing, you're all clearly wrong and this Gerald Warner who is an author, broadcaster, columnist and polemical commentator is clearly right.

Seriously climate change is real, end up. The only argument left is whether or not it's being effected by mankind, and even then, it's not much of a debate. (most likely is)

Oh it's that stupid old man again. They talked about him on the Daily Show

I love that cartoon and I agree with it. Global Warming is a natural cycle of Earth climate but we should still recycle and create more alternate energies and do that other stuff too.

This has nothing to do with climate change.

Yes it does.
Many of the measures which scientists(not politicians) espouse would be beneficial even if there was actually no such thing as climate change.
Sadly, politicians clamouring to be either the 'one who saves the world' or 'the one who stops the world being saved at his countries expense' f*ck everything up for all 6billion of us.

That entire article is one long Ad Hominem. If he put half as much effort into showing evidence that his argument is correct as he does trying to discredit pretty much every single climate scientist in the world then I might be a bit more convinced.
Although not by much, because he's pretty shit at what he does already.

You fail at life, OP. I don't see the importance of the 2nd link, just some stupid dumbduck rightwing dude who cannot even work out how to put a vlog together. Basically those guys don't like Obama because he's black, but don't have the balls to say so.

As for your first link, its from the Telegraph. The Telegraph is a well written paper from the UK with an OBVIOUS RIGHT WING BIAS. Probably news to you. Besides if you actually read the article you would see it wasn't saying 'climate change is a hoax'.

So what, you think climate change is a hoax, or do you think the argument that humans have influence the climate is a hoax? Do you think the climate has never changed ever? Are you one of those dumb ****s who thinks the world is only 3000 years old and god is going to solve everything (you are from texas afterall). Dickwad.

But just look at it: Thousands of demonstrators gathered in the freezing cold to protest that it’s too hot. How bizarre is that? The UN and the EU, originally conceived to represent a spirit of fairness, openly demonstrating that in reality they are the most one-sided and corrupt of the lot; Politicians from all sides competing to see who can have the most devastating effect on the world by pledging to give their people’s money away and voluntarily run down their own economies; and the world’s media whipping up the greatest propaganda froth we have ever known based on a scrap of unproven scientific theory which has been seen to be backed up by systematically, deliberately, massaged data. In other words a complete crock.

While I agree it's a hoax, I think you would be well suited not to use Michael Savage into the discussion- he has the stigma of a Nancy Pelosi or Michael Moore.

And good luck defending yourself from the eyerolls and the slapping forehead smileys, you'll be seeing a lot.

Also, everyone will assume that since you are from Texas it makes you dumber and a redneck, so be ready for that.

But good luck, I agree it's one of the larger hoaxes perpetrated on us by government- ever.

holy shit...I'm checking your age right now..

Hmmm, a year younger than me. This is unacceptable.

Why would it be a government scam? So the scientists can make more money? So the government can raise taxes? Cause you know, all the scientists from around the world are in league with one another, hatching some diabolical get rich scheme...

Your straying into dangerous territory here. Global Climate Change is happening, the evidence shows that. The evidence also shows that it is likely caused by human actions. No scientific body of international or even national standing issues a dissenting statement on that. That's a remarkable consensus in the scientific community, one that has taken a long time and a lot of evidence to reach. Are you trying to say that there is a systematic conspiracy, across disciplines and continents, among scientists to fudge data? Where is your evidence for that, bearing in mind that I explained East Anglia's hacked e-mails only last night and there was nothing untoward in them.

2. yeah, because the way they've run it so far as worked amazingly well hasn't it.

3. I agree, they use it for ratings, like everything else.

4. No ... it's been proven, whats unclear is the extent of our effect ... and even thats a shaky argument at best.

5. sortof like saying ... obama knows a communist ... therefore he's going to be a dictator?

lol It's okay.

I don't really worry about the sarcasm and hatred.

It's quite amusing to see this is how people are in a day to day basis.

Or maybe they do it to fit-it in the Pit because approval of a fellow Pit member is much important than actual knowledge towards anything. It's all good. I'm having a good laugh reading this.

I'd also like to add that climate change =/=warmer weather.

Global warming is one of the factors that could contribute to destabilizing weather patterns and even ocean currents, causing erratic weather behavior; which could mean significant increases and/or decreases of temps in different areas.

For the record, science goes beyond all political boundaries, and it's offensive to believe that the scientific community would perform such a hoax for political/economic gain. Perhaps lots of individual scientists try this, but that's why the overall community is so effective, because everyone is scrutinizing everyone else.

So you are one of these small-brained fools who thinks "climate change" and "increase in temperature" are mutually exclusive. Time to do some research mate.

Firstly, what the **** is massaged data? Climate change, and especially man's influence is far more than a 'scrap of unproven scientific theory', there is several millenia's worth of data extrapolated from icecores taken from the poles, combined with data taken from radio sonde balloons and other meteorological stations that show a huge increase in certain concentrations of atmospheric gasses since roughly 1750 (the industrial revolution btw, I know you kids are not so good on history).

As for the rest of your angsty diatribe, I think more of "the people's" money is currently being spent on the Iraq war than on climate change mitigation. The largest changes will have to occur in industry and energy generation, so I don't see how the taxpayer is taking a spanking because large companies have to cut emissions and accept cap and trade.

But I guess this is all going over your head anyway judging by the fact that you cite the Telegraph and some pathetic rightwing cocksucker as viable arguments.

I find it hard to understand this thread.

Is this about how Obama is a commie or how that "Copenhagen climate summit" made some kind of contract?
