I have enough money for one, I'll eventually get both but I wont have enough for the other for atleast a month or two.

I play through a Fender Deluxe VM with a Ibanez ART300 (with active lo-z's). I Have an ME-50 but I don't like using it with this amp I get too much noise, plus it has neither an EQ or a good compressor (it's compressor sucks).

If you jam with other people, get the EQ.

If you play only by yourself and record, get the compressor.

Rock, Prog, Blues. Pretty light stuff. I know it's kind of confusing me having THAT amp and THAT guitar, lol. The reason I can't afford both is because I'm getting a Telecaster to compliment the amp (they sound amazing through this amp), I should have just enough left over for one of these pedals.

If it were me I'd get a Eq pedal first more Uses.....Mxr would be a better choice.

I agree with the guys above me, the MXR 10-band EQ will help your tone the most. I'm looking into one myself, just no money yet...

get a compressor, just not the boss one. mxr dynacomp is a good choice if you want to stay in that same general price range. has its own flavor to it, but it does sound good. byoc has a nice compressor as well, but you have to build it of course.

Definitely the EQ. And don't get the boss compressor. I had one for about 2 weeks till I couldn't take the background hiss that it added.
If you start a reply with: I have never played one but I have heard good things about it! Your opinion is invalid.

if u go used u might be able to get both...
