well i just played this one bass of mine and what happened was the e string and the a strings are fine, however, the d and g string are buzzing like crazy. any suggestions on how to fix it?

sounds like the action is too low on the ones buzzing... just raise the action at the bridge... there should be some little screws, depending on your bass, that can lift the strings up off the fret board a little... if that doesn't help then I'm not sure what the problem is

If only two strings are buzzing and it isn't the action, then you either have some high frets or a twist in the neck. If adjusting the action doesn't cure it, have the truss rod adjusted and it should disappear. You can have a good technician check the fret level across the fretboard once the truss rod is properly set.

If you have a bad neck, I'd advise returning it. Especially if it's a high-quality bass. Sight the neck and tell us how bad it is. Pics would be nice.
