I'm turning 22 on the 30th and really don't know what to get
All I have is in my signature. I tough of getting a Bass but it's a bit too expensive. Looking to spend $100-150.

I wanted the bass because I love to improvise and do my own stuff but I find online backing tracks to be kind of sterile and boring.

I only play at home and I don't need other distortion/overdrive pedals.

Thanks for ideas !

I have currently 3 ideas :
Cabinet
Ibanez TubeScreamer
MXR Classic 108

a decent delay would be nice. Boss, EHX, MXR all make good delays. What sound are You after?

White Stripes
Hendrix, Mayer, SRV
Led Zeppelin
The Raconteurs
Green Day (the rock-and-roll stuff more than the "American Idiot Stuff"
Nirvana
Lenny Kravitz

I will use a USB Behringer console to record myself.

Yeah I know... I don't "NEED" them... I'm just all out of ideas...

For the delay, I'm not a big fan of effects... Maybe a little bit of wah

I'm getting a lot of noise with my current setting... maybe a noise suppressor ?

ever tried a delay? You can do amazing things with it. A wah is good also but i'd get a delay first.

Would a cab mute my combo ?

What should I be looking for ?

it depends on what outputs the ac4 has. if you plug the cable that went into the speaker inside the combo into an external cab, yes it will mute the combo.

if you want the authentic vox sound you should go for a celestion blue 112 or 212 (but like hell that will be $100-150). you should probably be looking at a 112 simply because they are cheaper. pretty much anything with a 12 inch (proper) celestion speaker should sound good. to get one in your price bracket you would have to go used.
