Hi, does anyone know if Valvestate cabs are full sized?

I bought my half stack second hand, and it's the VS100 head, with the standard Valvestate A slanted cab.

Is this the full sized Marshall cab? (like the JCM 1960A cab?) Thanks for your help!

Not exactly, no. I remember mesauring a valvestate cab's speakers a while back, and they were 10's. Granted, could be a different model and all that, but it was centrainly smaller than a 412.

No, it's not a full sized 4X12 and it's made of cheap particle board.

1960a Dimensions: 760 x 830 x 360mm

Valvestate Dimensions 673 x 712 x 355 (Not 100% on this, measure yours)

By the looks of things theres a considerable difference between the dimensions. Which would contribute to the resonance and low end of the cab. The speakers are 12" though.

im sure its 12 inchs..but the width and depth may be less..i wouldnt worry about it. unless you dont like it.

No it's good, it's a bit easier for transportation to gigs anyway, and most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference from in the audience anyway (non guitarists anyway)

Cheap particle board, cheap speakers, undersized dimensions.

On the plus side, they are one of the only 4x12s that'll fit in the boot of a small car, though personally I'd rather have a 2x12 any day...
