It's winter break now and have a) boredom, b) tons of free time, and c) the internet. I want to start watching through episodes of a TV show, but I can't decide which one. It can be a sitcom or a drama, it just has to be remotely mainstream so I can find it online.

Fringe. I've been meaning to watch that. I hear it's good.

Ghost Adventures. Very interesting.

God no. That guy is SO annoying. I want to punch him in the face.

I suggest:

NCIS

Criminal Minds

Rescue Me

Breaking Bad

Pretty much any original show on USA Network. Psych, White Collar, and Burn Notice are the best.

I have to agree with daytripper75 on the NCiS show ... that show usually kicks ass...if i'm not aloud to say stuff like kick a** could someone warn me... but yeah ncis or my 2 personal fav's are HOUSE and BONES....I would go with Bones...but watch alot of the back episodes to get alot of the stroy line.... the gormagon cannibal stroy line is awesome, and so is her stroy of her father and mother and that whole deal when her father comes back and gets charged with gruesomely murdering a couple peeps etc etc..... just check it out

Monk.
That show is awesome.

I forgot about Monk. Good choice. It's in it's final season right now.

That made me think of Psych since they are both on USA.

So I also suggest Psych. It's a great show. Burn Notice is on USA too, and that show is good.

I'm gonna go with Breaking Bad out of the suggestions, since it seems like the most interesting concept. Criminal Minds and Fringe sound cool too.

I just got into Dexter, and I'm glad I did. God, it's an amazing show.

If you don't get into it on your own, then why should you force yourself? Do you really feel the personal need to watch TV shows?

IMO, I'd stay away from it all. Gives you more time, and you might end up a little smarter after a while.

I don't think you'll regret it. The acting and writing are both top notch.

I've just started getting into Criminal Minds over the last month or so. I've been watching reruns on TV as much as I can. It's really good.

Jericho is awesome. If you have Netflix you can watch the whole series on their watch instantly.. And who doesn't love The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

As for current shows:

NCIS or NCIS Los Angles
JAG
Monk (just ended)
Supernatural (Awesome!)
White Collar
Physch
In plain sight
The Closer
Law and Order SVU (or any Law and Order for that matter)
Dexter
1,000 ways to die
Lock & load (R. Lee Ermy on the history channel if you like guns)

Thats about all I can think of.
