Hey all,
can you recommend me a program for making synth tracks with midi (will be using a keyboard for input) that isnt insanely complicated?
(ive tried ableton and cakewalk, but its too hard to learn) i want something that i can basically jump right into. (ALSO, i am trying to stay away from mixcraft)

EDIT: I also want to be able to mix down to mp3

Fruity Loops is pretty good for beginners and fairly idiot proof. You're never going to get anywhere though unless you're willing to put in the time to learn one program thoroughly.
there is no fear in this heart.

I love Ableton, but you definitely need to sit down and learn how to use it. The program's capabilities will blow your mind once you figure it out, though!
Telecaster - SG - Jaguar
Princeton Reverb, Extra Reverb
P-Bass - Mustang Bass
Apogee Duet 2 - Ableton Suite
