What song was it that took your favorite band from just another one of you itunes, to someone you became really interested in?

For me it was, "I'm content with losing" by Underoath, I loved the outro of the song where they've got three different vocal parts going. Thats what hooked me.

What hooked you?

Otherside - Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Just a great modern rock song in my opinion.

Playing With Fire - Emery

I love the last minute or so of it, and its also the song that got me out of really mainstream rock and into all the other kinds.

Evolution - Symphony X. The song is so intricate and fast paced. It's not their most progressive song but at the time I wasn't so much into that stuff so it served as a great catalyst for me to get into a whole new genre.

Sweet Child O' Mine got me into Guns N' Roses. At first I thought 'What the fuck is up with his voice?' Then I got used to it, and I like GnR now. But I still think 'What the fuck is up with his voice?'

Ever since I went and saw AFI perform all of "sing the sorrow" live they have been my favorite band. Just to keep it clear read below.

*AFI is my favorite band. Davey havok is not my favorite singer by himself, and Jade puget is not my favorite guitarist by himself*

"Inca Roads" by Frank Zappa. He's my favorite guitarist, composer and person now

...I first heard it while playing Zelda on the Snes: it was a great game, but the music was mweh, especially after hours of sidequesting and hearing the same bgm over and over again...

I went to the Black Veil Brides show friday. When it was over we got to hang around with the band. We ended up talking for like an hour or so. Then they were like "Wanna help us get packed up?" And we were like "**** Yeah!". Idk why but it just amazed me that they were normal people., especialy with how they are onstage.

The Crowing by Coheed and Cambria.

To this day, whenever I hear the "Dear Ambellina, the Prise wishes you..." part in that song, I get goosebumps.

"Delirium Trigger" was the song that got me into Coheed and Cambria pretty hardcore.

After that, I just soaked in as much as I could.

Symphony of Destruction.

My older cousin as well as my brother listened to Megadeth a lot when I was younger, and one of the first songs I ever heard from them was Symphony.

Within Destruction.

I had bought As I Lay Dying's most recent album when I saw it in the bargain bin but never really listened to it until I watched my friends jam a few songs. They always played Through Struggle and I liked it, so I decided to listen to An Ocean Between Us, and Within Destruction quickly became my favourite. It was even better live.
