So, this is not for me, but for my Bassist friend , so he's willing to spend not more that 300Euro.. but the lower the price the better (Good Quality though :P) and as for wattage he's gonna play with a band soon and they are loud (punk/Oi! band) so i think it has to be more than 50Watts.

I've came across these:

AMPEG:

ASHDOWN: (love these)

What about Laney and Peavey? ( never heard one before)

Thanks in advance

Ampeg, Ashdown and Laney are the best choices, imho.
The Laney RB series is worth checking out.

The rest is a matter of taste. What features does the player demand, which tone he likes best, etc.

No.

Well, technically it could be done, but only in the same way that you could change a cat into a hamburger. It's an unpleasant process, and nobody is happy with the result.

What do you think about the Hartke and Peavey?

The Hartke B 600 doesn't seem a bad idea, but Ampeg, Ashdown and Laney have better quality, both in construction and sound.

As far as Peavey goes, i really don't like their bass amps.
Their guitar amps are fine (except the ValveKing -- makes my ears bleed ), but the bass amps are iffy, to say the least.

Unless you're talking about Trace Elliot amps. They are owned by Peavey Electronics Europe, but they're awesome bass amps (and expensive as hell).
