After months of lusting I finally picked up what is currently my dream guitar.
Its a japanese Fender 66 Reissue in candy apple red, with block inlays and a bound neck.

Without further a do, pictures

And a shot of the pedals currently making a nice wall of sound:

I can't imagine anything worse than shagging to Mark Knopfler.

Maybe shagging Mark Knopfler, but that's about it.

what's that in the tremolo bar hole? Have you got something to hold it in place? (i'm having trouble getting my jazzmaster's bar to stay put!)

i love the bound fretboard and inlays - normally i don't like them on jags, especially the red/white ones, but they just look really cool on that guitar.
Rig Winter 2017:

Fender Jazzmaster/Yamaha SG1000
Boss TU-3, DS-2, CS-3, EHX small stone, Danelectro delay
Laney VC30-112 with G12H30 speaker, or Session Rockette 30 for smaller gigs
Elixir Nanoweb 11-49 strings, Dunlop Jazz III XL picks
Shure SM57 mic in front of the amp

It's not actually holding it in place I'm afraid, so I can't help you out there. It's PTFE thread tape, so that the bar doesn't sit so low down, making it easier to play "glide" guitar. It falls out even more like this, but its better for what I do.

EDIT: on second thoughts, you could try using ptfe tape to sorta strap the bar into place permanently?

oh shit! they make jags with block inlays?
thats awesome man, my mate has that coloured jag but obviously only with the dot inlays.

hows the muff/tone wicker out of interest?
#29
The block inlayed jaguars are a special run with only 50 of each colour in Europe. I think they're easy to come by in Japan though.

The muff is hugely brilliant. I can get all sorts of sounds outta it, although it's usually left on the biggest sound I can find. Would definitely recomment it if you're looking at a versataile muff.

Happy NEW GUITAR DAY!!

I had no idea your pedalboard was that epic!
When'd you get an XP 400?

I'm not sure when I got it, you'd have to ask Nick Not that long ago though, october maybe?
It's an awesome pedal, the spring verbs are quite cold (but I like that, its quite Silverface fender), the reverse is brilliant, and the infinite and plate settings are really great.
