Hey hey guys. Just got back home for winter break and I am looking forward to a month of nothing but chilling. So, what are some good albums for the winter time? Something to just put on, light a spliff, and enjoy the season? So far I've found that Bon Iver, Panda Bear's "Person Pitch," and Gang Gang Dance fit well. What else do you guys think fits the season?

Cheers

Slowdive - Pygmalion

Radionhead - Kid A

God Is An Astronaut - God Is An Astronaut

Grieg's Lyrics Pieces

I don't love post-rock... not at all... and you shouldn't either...

Maybe some traditional winter <PH7 to wash all that reverb down...

I think you need to stop caring what people think about it. I stayed home all day today and masturbated like 5 times. Fucking blast.

A lot of King Crimson, I don't know why I think this. Also, just go listen to some cool jazz such as Miles Davis and Paul Desmond/Dave Brubeck stuff.

Well, you're spot on with Bon Iver.

How about the Fleet Foxes' self-titled album?
Neil Young's 'Live at Massey Hall' is also brilliant for winter.

I was going to seriously suggest these.

Anyway, it's time for 'At The Heart Of Winter', that song is freezing cold.

This. Post rock is a very "winter" genre. Their album, The Earth is not a Cold Dead Place is the best for winter though, trust me.

Anything by Mono would be good, especially their album, One more step and you die

Don't forget Zeppelin III, I listened to it yesterday while I took a walk around town, and it's perfect for when it's snowing.
