im using an epiphone triggerman and a Vox JSDS (joe satriani sig distortion), i play shows, but nothing major. i play an ibanez RG7321 and a bc rich warlock. the ibanez pickups are standard, but i replaced the bc rich with a single dimarzio humbucker. i just recently bought a jackson RR3, and im planning on buying an EMG 81/85 set for it. the problem is that my tone with the JSDS sucks, im considering buying a boss metal zone MT-2, will EMGs help my tone, or is my pedal the problem?

I've never play an Epiphone Triggerman but that could be your problem. Would you be able to try some od pedals with that epi amp?

You'll find whisky very different, but try it and you'll grow into it, soon you and whisky are one, but still two, lovers dancing across a frozen lake under moonlight, wrapped in honey and warmth.

Your pedal isn't the problem. Get a better amp. The MT-2 will sound even worse.

I smell a troll.

Edit: Never mind, he has 66 posts.

Don't get the MG, at least not the 100W one. They're barely passable for practice amps in the low watt rage though.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion.
