hey, Iv just got the korg pitch black and hoping to get a few effects over the next few weeks. I want to know the best cost effective way of powering them without batteries?

Cheers

Things like the Power Brick are quite popular, but I've heard they sometimes add extra noise to the signal.
Gear:

Guitars: Ibanez SV5470F, Ibanez Xpt700, Fender MIM Standard Stratocaster ('04-'05), Jackson Ps-2
Ashton AG200,
Amps: ENGL E530, Bugera 6262-212,
FX: TC Electronics G-major 2, Behringer EQ700, Morley Volume / Wah

The Rothwell Stomp Juice is fairly cheap compared to the Fuel Tank, it's £70

You'll find whisky very different, but try it and you'll grow into it, soon you and whisky are one, but still two, lovers dancing across a frozen lake under moonlight, wrapped in honey and warmth.

Sums up whisky perfectly

I've got a Brick, and I've not experienced any noise.
For every action, there is an equal and opposite criticism.

At the moment, i'm stuck using loads of seperate power adaptors, but really could do with a brick or something

I use an ibanez ac109uk to power my pitchblack.

Yes it's only 200 ma but the pitchblack does not ever draw more than 30 ma even during tuning. As long you don't use it to power other pedals you're fine.

My Dunlop DC-Brick has done me well to start with to say I got it so very cheap; I wouldn't recommend buying one full price.
I'm going to be upgrading to something like the Voodoo Pedal Power II at some point in 2010.

Doesn't the Pitchblack have a DC out? So just daisy chain all your other pedals from that.
I have a ponytail fetish.
..And a labcoat fetish. SCIENCE!

You need a bigger adapter than the standard ones for this.

Good ol fashioned batteries. for some reason, they give off much less noise than my PSA and my daisy chain.
