did a quick search and only found a thread with a poll which made no sense whatsoever
if this has been done point me towards it and ill get rid of this one

anyway just list your top ten albums of the decade in order
1st gets 10 points all the way up to 10th which gets one

ill then put a final list together of top 50 or 100 if this goes well

so mine go as follows

10. fall of ideals - all that remains
9. brave new world - iron maiden
8. origin of symmetry - mus
7. in absentia - porcupine tree
6. the blackening - machine head
5. blackwater park - opeth
4. nocturn - the human abstract
3. crack the skye - mastodon
2. kezia - protest the hero
1. colors - between the buried and me

ps. no abuse towards peoples options

St. Anger lolz!1!1!111!!1

But seriously, as far as metal goes, the newest Megadeth, Slayer's God Hates Us All (2001 I think) and Mastodon's Crack the Skye. Maybe Death Magnetic and, in my opinion, Avenged Sevenfold's self titled (flameshield). You have to throw in Green Day American Idiot just for how popular, and admittedly pretty good, it was. There are sooooo many more but those jump to the forefront for me.
EDIT: Oh I need a list.
1.Slayer God Hates Us All
2.Metallica Death Magnetic
3.Avenged Sevenfold Avenged Sevenfold
4.Mastodon Crack the Skye
5.Green Day American Idiot
6.Megadeth Endgame
7.Municipal Waste The Art of Partying
8.Jeff Loomis Zero Order Phase (totally random but I think it's brilliant)
9.Pantera Reinventing the Steel (2000 it counts)
10.Iron Maiden A Matter of Life and Death
Please excuse my godawful username. I was thirteen.

there was a thread of "post your 25 best..." a while back and I can't be bothered to write that list out again.
#5
I think that Dance of Death (despite bad artwork) is better than brave new world.

Needs more genres. Personally, I thought Infected Nations was a kick ass album and should definitely be in the top ten for holding the thrash metal flag high. For me, Martyr would easily get the top spot. Those guys are ace musicians.

Except for Green Day, Parkway Drive, and Meshuggah, I agree with that list. Switch em out for some Opeth "Blackwater Park", Evile "Infected Nations", and maybe some Queens of the Stone Age "Era Vukgaris" and the list is good.

Kezia > Fortress.

For seriously, Fortress is an amazing album, and they're really fleshed out their songwriting techniques, but Kezia is just timeless. The concept, the style, the intensity, it's just sublime.

Also, I'm not posting just ten, and they're in no order. I'm just bored, and feel like listing.

"Geogaddi"- Boards of Canada
"The Fire in Our Throats Will Beckon the Thaw"- Pelican
"Sol Eye Sea I"- Irepress
"Chipbreak Wars"- Sabrepulse
"Menos el Oso- Minus the Bear
"Takk..."- Sigur Ros
"The Four Trees"- Caspian
"The Grey Album"- Danger Mouse
"The Fame"- Lady Gaga (Flame me. See if I care. It's the best dance album to be released in who knows how long. Absolutely stunning.)
"Conqueror"- Jesu
"Day into Night"- Quo Vadis
"Remission"- Mastodon
"druqks"- Aphex Twin
"Viva la Vida"- Coldplay
"The Con"- Tegan and Sara
"Sung Tongs"- Animal Collective
"Amplifier"- Amplifier
"Deadwing"- Porcupine Tree

etc. etc. etc. I can't encapsulate my favorites of this decade that easily.

2000s = Best music ever. EVER. EVER.

4 Eminem - The Eminem Show
3 The Twilight Sad - 14 Autumns and 15 Winters

This is just how I feel at the moment tbh, but these albums are what stand out in my collection from this decade. It's not been too bad.

How many times have I done this thread? Anyways, I have no life and am bored. So, I will answer this again.

Lateralus, by Tool
10,000 Days, by Tool
Mer De Noms, by A Perfect Circle

I don't have 10. I don't think I've even listened to ten whole albums released in this decade.
