Who would you like to see at Download next year? I am personally not going to bother with setting days and stuff for them, just some bands I would like to do download next year...

Paramore
Green Day
My Chemical Romance
Boys Like Girls
The All-American Rejects
Rage Against The Machine
Red Hot Chili Peppers (would be interesting though...)
Sum 41
Evanescence (they're supposed to be bringing a new album out next year)
Blink 182
Tenacious D - would love them to be there and bring a new album out...
Radiohead
This will start a RIOT! in me

Hey man Download is a hard rock/metal festival...not pop punk. That'd be a great Warped line-up, but I don't see it happening for Download.
Please excuse my godawful username. I was thirteen.
#3
Protest the hero, Between the Buried and Me, Fightstar, Biffy Clyro and Dir en Grey
#4
Have you ever seen a download concert? Those bands will never be there.

I can see RHCP and RATM at download, but the rest probably at the warped festival.

I watched a lot of 2007 on the Internet, and every year it gets more and more mainstream so that's why I felt okay writing those bands.

Hmm judging from your pic you'd fit in more with a fat busted tribute.

Children of Bodom, Megadeth, Amon Amarth, Opeth.
That's me happy. Maybe a bit of Finntroll/ Enter Shikari aswell

I agree with TS on Paramore, Tenacious D and RATM, they'd also be pretty sweet.

Though tbh the Sonisphere line up is looking miles better already, so download are really going to have to pull this one out of the bag.

AC/DC are rumoured to headline this year.

If they are, I'm buying a goddamn ticket.

They did very briefly have it up on their site. It'll happen this year.

It might not because of that. Heaven and Hell did that for the 09 download and got pulled becasue of it.

Edit: Also Im feeling a bit bitter about the fact that AC/DC might play download and I wont be able to go

Indeed, plus I browse a 'DC forum, and one of the posters who's VERY reliable about this kinda stuff said he had reports that they're pretty much in there.

But we'll see.........

I would like to take this opportunity to thank your "scene" for ruining what used to be a good festival for people to look forward to. Now I couldn't care less about it.

Damn straight.

Although apparently Paramore are rumoured to be there, so I don't know why everyone seems to think it's such an insane idea. They had MCR headling before..

Word on the street is AC/DC are going to be a headliner this year.

Schweeeet.

Indeed.

It looks even more promising by the fact that they've just announced a load more European dates in France and Germany but none in the UK. They wouldn't go to places like Austria and not come to the UK, so I think we can expect at least one UK date.
#27
I'm pretty much going for the whole festival experience more than the bands really... the line up has been getting worse so i don't have high hopes that i'll be seeing many bands i like.
If it was up to me we would be going to Bloodstock which already looks pretty awesome to me but ach well.
Had a look at Sonisphere because some people have been saying it's going to be better than Download and everything, well so far looks pretty poor. Got Maiden and Slayer, rest are pretty sucky.

The only one of those you listed that're likely to play are Paramore. AC/DC and Metallica have both self confirmed.

EDIT: Steel Panther are playing too. The booking guy went onstage on their lasst tour at some point and confirmed that they're playing the mainstage.

ts list is very poor and unrealistic

for headliners im hoping to be seeing metallica, acdc and soundgarden which currently looks very likely

other bands that i would love be around are protest the hero, human abstract, billy talent, machine head, megadeth, lamb of god, between the buried and me, bon jovi, steel panther (pretty much guaranteed) five finger death punch, amon amarth, atreyu, all that remains and rise against

if all of those were there i would get a permanant erection until the end of the festival starting from now

A quick question, didn't My Chemical Romance headline June 8th of the 2007 Download festival? Not a huge fan of their music but Ray Toro is a very skilled guitarist who's roots are based in blues.

To TS: Great lineup IMO, would gladly go and see that show, but only Paramore,RATM,RHCP and Radiohead may play download this year. Have seen BLG, AAR (x2) and will see Paramore on March 7th. I think your lineup is more of a WARPED lineup, nonetheless a great lineup.

If I could go to Download I would love to see Rammstein, Billy Talent,RHCP and Megadeth (even though I've seen them before) there.

Is this the official thread?

If it is... woo on ACDC, them crooked vultures, stone temples!!
#36
Thought i'd bump with the new announcements

Headliners are Ac/Dc, Rage against the Machine and Aerosmith(With tyler)

Then there are :
Them crooked vultures, Wolfmother, Volbeat, Lamb of god, bullet for my valentine, megadeath, 30 seconds to Mars, deftones, Billy Idol Motorhead, stone sour, stone temple pilots, and Five finger deathpunch.

I'm more into alternative rock but I think it is looking great

Aerosmith should be great, if they manage to stay friendly until then. AC/DC, whilst not one of my favourite bands, seem like a really fun live act.

Other than that, it's mostly looking good. Stone Sour were excellent last time they were there.

There are more bands than that.
There's a special sex move I do called the Charizard.
