Just wrote this up last night and haven't given it any rework but wanted to get some opinions on what I have so far.

I saw a man just the other day
He couldn't pay for a one night stay
He once was a doctor
He once was a dad
But this was before they sent him to a forgein land

Here is your helmet
and here is your gun
take them all down one by one
This is for justice
and this is for peace
Bring forth the civility

I'm just a solider I fight for our land
I aim at the others no matter the man
I'm just a soldier I fight for our land
No matter the price I gotta march right in

I once knew a drunk man
Who changed his life
He bought a big white house
And Married a wife
He raised a few children
During twenty years strife
Tow are now gone
and one still fighting for life

I'm just a solider I fight for our land
I aim at the others no matter the man
I'm just a soldier I fight for our land
No matter the price I gotta march right in

Many have come and many have gone
One man a millionaire
One from the midwest farm
We all know someone
who has fought in this fight
I scream come home but it's a soldier's life

Oh they're just a solider fighting the fight
Lined up in rows to send others right
Oh they're just a solider fighting the fight

I'm not sure about the "I once knew a drunk man" part

And the perspective seems to change alot, which is a bit confusing to me, but maybe it won't be as confusing tomorrow, as I'm typing this in the middle of the night on my laptop computer :P (sorry)

For the rest I liked it alot.
What kind of music will it be?

Don't get my critisism wrong or something, you're probably better than me at songwriting.

Think of it in vain of a Neil Young acoustic track. As for the drunk man part..yea maybe a little too literal but I'm trying to show how War can hurt people in different ways. The first part is this successful person who has to go to war or wishes to and it changes his life totally. Then we have another person who had a personal war, got better, had a family and due to physical war his life is in shambles again due to losing his children. Just a few ideas slinged on to paper.

Thanks,
Matt
