Hey guys, I've been reading these forums everyday now and it seems that everyone here knows how to install pickups already and its not a problem when it comes it buying new pickups. My question is where did you learn? I've wanted to get new pickups for a while now but can't because I have no idea how to install them.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

Soldering is an easy skill to obtain. And if you end up buying a set of the new EMG's, they're even easier to install since all you have to do is plug everything together and you're done.

Wait, with the new EMG's they are solderless? I heard that I have to solder in a certain part and it's a one time thing only for the new system. I am really inexperienced when it comes to these things.
