What happens of you approach a strong magnet(like neodymium) to a plugged-in guitar's pickup? Is that recommended? Or could I destroy something by doing that?

i dont recomend it but ive had weaker megnets on my pickups nothing happened exept some buzz

Well I certainly hate my EMG's, but that's not a reason to destroy them. After all they're just Alnicos and ceramics. They don't stand a chance against neodymium.

I'm 95% sure nothing would happen. Neodymium may be strong, but it's not going to alter the laws of physics. The results of my 3 minutes on Google have led me to the conclusion that you can't alter one magnet using another.
