Which guitar would be the best for death metal:

- Washburn X50 Pro (emg 81/85);
- Jackson DKMGT;
- Gibson Flying V;
- Ibanez RGT6EXFX
- Dean Razorback V (Dimebucker) or
- Ibanez Xiphos (DiMarzio)?

I have got about 500 pounds and Laney GH50L head.

Right, it's about preference.

If you ask for my personal preference, I'd take the Razorback or the Xiphos, because they have a sharp, cutting tone, which is good for death metal.

indeed, not specifically death metal.
you can get a guitar suited to heavy styles of music and a metal voiced amp but its still down to you to eq it properly and play death metal.

+1 All guitars share similar specs (except for last 2 since there are like a thousand types of those models and I don't know which ones you speak of) so it's all to how you like the necks and stuff.

any guitar can play death metal, some just do it better then others.
Its all preference, but try them out man, If it can do any type of metal playing, it can do death metal, death metal is just what KIND of metal, if you can play that genre, and just have a guitar with good distortion, it can play other genres of metal.

All of those guitars can do death metal, but the Xiphos is an awesome axe!
