The website says it has an effect loop and external switch slot but I can't see anything on the back. Are they behind the back cover or something?

The combo is exactly the same as a the head.... with speakers. Just look for the nice white "EFFECTS LOOP" printed on it. Can't miss it.

Duh... If you actually look at the pictures in the link I provided you would not have written that.

So the extra jacks are hidden under the ridge? Anybody has a Combo version that can confirm it?

I can confirm the head and combo version are identical. They have just turned the knobs and switches around 180 degrees.

The chassis and everything else is the same, it's just that it's mounted vertically in the combo and horizontally in the head.

Want a picture?

That's the combo. You can tell because if you put that chassis inside the head version, the text would be upside down.

You can see the "Send" and "Return" words at the bottom.

I have the combo, too, and can confirm what was said above. Surely iamtompublic can confirm it, too.

Very nice! You guys are much helpful.
While we're having so many HT-5 owners here I have one more question.
Can you disconnect the speaker for an attenuator to be set in between on the combo version?

Yes. The speaker in the combo is connected through the 16 Ohm speaker jack.
