Im planning on buying a new tube combo soon and after a lot of research, the 60 watt 6505 combo is my fav and i just have a few questions:

1. I currently have a line 6 spider 3 150 watt combo, is the peavey as loud as this amp since its tube, not SS?

2. I play a lot of metallica type stuff but also want warm cleans, are they do-able on this amp. (80 percent of the time ill be usind the distortion channel)

So should I go with this amp or would i be better off with the bugera 6260 or 6262 combo.

Thanks

1. The 6505 should be just as loud, if not louder.

2. The cleans are usable on the 6505s. They're not the great... but people on here will try to tell you that if you turn on the clean channel there will be no cleans at all

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

i would go for the Bug 6262 head or combo if it were me, i prefer the tone. tighter bass and nicer cleans

disclaimer: i'm probably biased. i'm GASing for a 6262

You mean the 112?, I have one for the lead channel (excellent). The clean and reverb is meh.
