Title pretty much says it all...
I have a 6505 and heard that a maxon would be pretty sweet with it, but is there any real difference in sound etc.
TS808 VS Maxon 808... views.
Maxon is £109 where as TS808 is £139. But money isnt too much of an issue.
More interested in sound, and i also play mostly metal. infact basically all metal ahaha
Cheers.

If you're using it as a boost (I'm assuming you are since you have a 6505) there will be practically no difference at all.

The maxon, like others have said is a lot loser to the original specs of the TS808. The TS808 reissue, which is what you're looking at will be using incorrect parts as well as lower quality parts. I still love my TS808, but I would definitely go with the maxon.

If you have the ability to build(solder), I'd suggest looking at the BYOC overdrive 2, which can essentially be used to get the nuance in sound of both the maxon and ts808, which are pretty similar anyway. check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37RfgSdn53w
