So just a few questions that will help me with my project..

Will I be able to sand without a sanding machine..
I have plenty of steel wool and sand paper, but I'm not too experienced with the random orbital sander I have..

Should I prime the wood even though it has been finished before..

Do you think that crackle glaze.. google it if you're not sure.. would go well with a gold and blue ZW buzzsaw.. crackling the blue parts gold and the gold parts blue? Small cracks leading to bigger cracks outward from center but not big cracks?

And how are gotoh equipment any good?

Thanks a lot for all help I'm starting sanding later on today

sanding by hand can be done. i've done it so..
and gotoh is good.

i've always hated crackle finishes, haha. But the gold and blue sounds good, especially if it's like a royal or navy blue. Gotoh have nice parts, but to save some money and not skimp on quality i'd go with Guitarfetish.com parts, they have awesome prices for good hardware.

Check out the Ultimate painting thread for top tips, or just PM if you like..

What parts do you need, seeing as you are in the UK? \/

TS.
DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS MAN.
GET GOTOH.

Guitar Fetish are good for they're pickups. They're hardware quality is fine, but nowhere near as good as gotoh.

I'll be watching.

Fail on your part my man.
Gotoh aren't THAT expensive.
and a low quality bridge will be TONE RAPE.
Especially with a TOM.
