Hey

My band are planning to release a single soon and I was wondering if there was any way/any piece of software (preferably free) that would enable us to put the music video we have made onto the audio CD - so the CD would play in any cd player but when its put on the computer the music video would be viewable?

(Hope this is in the right forum as it didn't seem to fit any others)

Thanks

Steve Q

All I can think is make it a data CD then put a link to a hidden part on your bands website on the CD is all I can think of sorry...

Can you partition the cd?

As far as i know thats what used to happen if i put a single into my computer. Two cds would show up, one for music, and one for the video.

Yeah I guess there is that, and the two cds pop up on my computer, anybody know how/which program I can use to do that?

I know there's a way to burn an audio CD and then add data after it, but I forget how. I need a minute for this.

If this doesn't end up panning out, you could put in a password on the CD packaging for people to download the video from a host site somewhere I guess. Depends how desparate people are to see your video though, if they'd go to that kinda effort.

Ok no worries, if you can remember it that would be awesome, is there a way to do it using disk utility on a mac or does that only cover hard drives? As that can be used for partitions?

I think youtube's made this kind of irrelevant but it's still a nice idea.

I suppose its more so people can have it on the CD as it will probably end up on youtube anyways

I don't know much about software for Mac, but if you can burn the audio CD and leave the disc open then you might be able to burn data afterwards.
