Musicians Friend is having a sale on this model right now, and i just so happen to be looking for a guitar i can lug around places and practice while i am not doing things (read : school). I was searching for guitars in the 200 - 300 range and the Ibanez RG420EG (Link: http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Ibanez-RG420EG-Electric-Guitar?sku=515773) popped up on a pretty good sale, but before i go and throw down all my Christmas money on it, i wanted some opinions and some thoughts as to other guitars i should consider.

so what do you guys think?

I played one Simular and I was quite let down by it. It seemed like the pickups didn't have enough kick to them.
Mark Tremonti: I have my own mixer on stage so I can alter my volmes while on stage

Myles Kennedy: And why's that Mark?

Mark Tremonti:....I have trust issues with the sound guy
