I don't know if this goes in the screaming/growling thread or not. I need some help doing the Axl Rose screeches (i.e. Welcome to the Jungle intro, Live and Let Die). Or even just his singing in general. I don't want to sound exactly like him, but i want to be able to go from a normal singing voice to a wailing, screeching singing voice like he does.

Drink lots of jack and party like a mother****er?
Fire it up, let the engines roll!
It's time to burn it down!
Keep bleeding on till the day you die!
Forever love it loud, yeah!

Haha. That could work. Is there a way that doesn't involve mutilating my body?

It's not really something you can learn TBH, it's either there or it isn't.

The thing about Axl Rose is he's got a rough, nasty voice, but I don't think it's very powerful. He pretty much shoves his voice into the back of his throat. If you want to get the sensation of doing a high wail like he does, do a witches cackle on a high pitch, kind of like the Wicked Witch of the West. That's how a high-pitched scream should feel.

Could I get some more talent in the monitors, please?

I know it sounds crazy, but try to learn to inhale your voice. www.thebelcantotechnique.com
