Ok, so im having a dilemma. I have a Fender Contemporary Strat built between '84-'87. Its lovely, but... I want to change the pickup. As far as Im aware it has the original pickup in it. I think I should explain that it has one humbucker, one volume knob (which is a pull pot) and a floyd on it. The wood of the body is unknown but it seems to have a bright quality giving its sound a very trebly twang and a maple neck and board. Im after a high output pickup which is bassier than the stock pup. Any suggestions? Im thinking of a bare knuckle cold sweat. Any good?
