I currently have a Les Paul sitting in my "Gibson corner" but once upon a time I had a 61 re-issue SG and something about it is intreeging me more and more now that I am looking to bring one back into my collection. See my SG was produced in 84 and had the input jack on the side of the body, similar to a Les Paul. Originally (in 61) the SG had it on the top, next to the knobs, as the re-issues currently do. I am wondering if anybody knows why this was done, and if so for how many years. Any info appreciated.

By the way... Sold my SG in '03 and have regretted it ever since! I want it back
I've never seen an SG without the jack on the top.

I also have hairy butt cheeks, I once shaved a letter 'W' on each cheek, so that when I bent over it spelled WoW.
