I'm looking into an upgrade from my MG. I play mainly classic rock (Zeppelin, Queen, AC/DC, Hendrix) blues (BB King, Clapton) Metal (Metallica) and Instrumental Shred (Steve Vai, Joe Satriani). I was wondering about the Carvin Legacy.

First of all, how is it? I have heard the cleans are simply amazing. How about distorion/lead tones? I know it can get the Steve Vai tone, but can it get all the other types of tones.

Secondly, does anyone have any sound clips of it in their profiles. And I mean just the pure amp, no pedal or effects?

And for those who will ask me (as I know you will) I will be saving up for the amp as I will be getting a job soon
I'll pretend I can mod your amp but break it instead.

How many threads are you going to make?

The Legacy sucks ass for Metal IMO.

Until I get all the information, a lot

I live in Nebraska, so I have no chance to try it out.

If it helps, the highest distortion I need is Vai-ish. So not major distortion, but still a fair amount
I'll pretend I can mod your amp but break it instead.
