I need some mega computer genious to help me with this >__<
I've been banned from an online game for some weird reason,
so I need to change my IP address in order to get back in and play.

I've tried unplugging my modem, I've tried the whole ipconfig/renew thingy on
command prompt, nothing works

Does anyone know any way I can change it?

Thanks for any help.

I've been banned from 4chan for posting CP

not only do you need to buy a new computer, you also need a new modem. and if the people hunting your ip are very thorough, you also need to move houses.

Yeah, its impossible to change. Once its issued to you by the Supreme Internet Wizard Alliance its yours for life.

But seriously, is there a rule against telling people how or something?

Nobody's going to tell you. Once the secret is out many of the banned users will know how to get back on UG. I don't know how to help you.

ur IP changes everytime u hook up to internet. but chances are, if ur at home, it wont change much, if at all. it all has to do where ur connecting from, and how many IPs that location has to register out. if ur MAC address is banned, then just get a new network card, or find a mac rerouting program.

PM?

If I could I would. Just use a different computer, if you don't have one I don't know how to help you.

id say the closest thing would be proxies, but even some networks can detect that. they probably banned your MAC address, in which case, you absolutely cannot change that.

I can't imagine anything worse than shagging to Mark Knopfler.

Maybe shagging Mark Knopfler, but that's about it.

yes. teaching people how to break the rules is indeed against the rules lol. think about it. multis are a pain in the ass as it is now. if every banned uger who you ever hated found a way to get back on the site with nobody knowing about it, the site would collapse from the idiocy. ip bans exist for a reason.

it depends on your ISP. usually companies who provide services through cable modems give you a static IP. DSL companies, such as at&t, change the IP address every so often.

you can't ban a MAC address. MAC addresses are used to access local networks. i'm pretty sure the only people who are allowed to control which MAC addresses are allowed in anything are DSL companies yet most of them use PPPoE login.

closed by the off chance that you're trying to get your way around a multi.
