I've recently bought the Epiphone Les Paul Tribute 2010.
I bought it at a local music store (Collins Music) in Australia.
I was only able to find 1 review about the guitar. (he gave it 5 stars )
Also, it's very hard just to find it anywhere on the internet (even on Gibson /
Epiphone's homepage)

The regular price was 1599 AUD (1403 USD)
I got it for 1000 AUD (877 USD)

I've started to think a lot about if i should have bought another one?

Also, i think of getting a Peavey Vypyr 30w amp, is it a good idea to get it with this guitar?

What do you think?

Thank you

Converting to USD doesn't really do any good, since Australian prices are always quite a bit more than you'd pay in the states, so while that wouldn't be a particularly good deal in the US, from what little I know of Australian prices it's a decent buy.

For the amp, what else is in your price range? The vypyr is ok for heavier stuff but you could do better depending on what you play.

Well, i'm only staying here in Australia for holidays, i usually live in Denmark. I'm not able to buy stuff from the US without paying duty, but i could have bought something from another place in Europe.

The price range would be about 150-325 USD for the amp. I mostly play heavier stuff.

the peavey vypyr 30 is good for u then. if u play heavier stuff.

I also wonder if the Tribute 2010 is a good guitar?
Unfortunately while i'm on holidays, i'm only able to play on my sisters bass amp with only a couple of settings. :/

I don't know what to compare it to either. I thought of comparing it to the standard, but i haven't played it enough to be able to compare it.

Anyone that is able to tell me a bit about my guitar, or eventually compare it to an Epiphone Les Paul Standard?

Would be appreciated

Yes i do, but as this is my 2nd guitar (and my first was a very cheap, starter gutar), i just wonder if i would have liked the standard more, or just as much, and i really haven't got to play it yet with a guitar amp.

Thanks a lot for the replies guys, very useful :P
