That cab sucks and you can do far better than that Randall solid state head.

ok...with that budget, you probably want to be looking at a combo instead of a stack. With $1000 you can get a VERY nice combo, or a decent stack ...it's your choice.

For those styles of music, a Celestion Vintage 30 wouldn't be a bad choice of speaker...but that's just common stuff. You should consult someone else about speakers I honestly know very little

A Carvin V3 combo would be very good for your needs. I think it's just over $1000.

EDIT: the carvin v3 combo is 1100.

what are some other combos?
Idk if this helps but the reason i want a new amp is that there is a difference in sound with different guitars. My rr24 and my LTD sound the exact same. Active vs Duncan JB/Jazz. I can get a good enough tone but I want Tonal Variety.

Well here's an amp recommendation dump for you

Bogner Alchemist combo (some hate it, some love it...go try it out) ~$1000
Mesa F-30 or DC-5 if you can find it
A used Mesa Mark IV/V combo?
Laney GH, VH series (come only in head versions)
Laney TT series (come in combo versions as well as stacks)
Line 6 Vetta? It's solid state but it covers a wide range of tones
Ampeg VH-140C head. Solid state but good for metal from what I've heard.
Carvin X-100B combo
Peavey 6505/5150
Bugera 333XL/6262 on the cheap
Fender 1996 Floyd Rose Standard Stratocaster
Epiphone SG G-400

Laney TT50-112

with a budget like that and tones like that look into a used mesa stilleto series or jcm 800/900. Mark series would work if you could find one(III and IV). The laney GH series has surprisingly good cleans and gets really heavy.

Actually I should have mentioned the Randall RM series (RM20,50,100)

It may turn out to be over-budget though, since the modules are quite expensive.

For the other Randalls...well you can do better with the money you have.
