so basically I want to use the same tube amp for bedroom practice as well as for jam session

so the problem is that a tube amp is too loud for an apartment.

so I thought what if I use an amp modelling pedal and plug it into the return of the fx loop of the amp. (so not use the preamp section of the amp,... and basically use the amp as a power amp)

will I get good sound at low levels? and will it be better than plugging my amp modelling pedal into a SS?

so what do you think? or do you have any other suggestions?

thanks in advance,

You will get better sound, but personally I wouldn't spend the few hundred for a good amp modeller for it.

frankly I don't agree with this quote, I have a 60 watt fender deville and all you have to do is keep it on 1 volume level or if thats still a problem use an attenuator

I've got a 120w 6505+ with a 4x12, it's fine for bedroom levels. Just keep it on 1 or less
