I have no idea. They use them to sense their surroundings in the dark, so probably yes.

I will also say if you did that, I would find you and castrate you.

Yes I think it will... it shouldn't be done, it's used for feeling things in front of them. Don't do it.

Hurt? no.
Severely damage their balance and how sly they are? yes.
Seeing as you'll have to shave them to get them back to being the perfect balance again, too.
It could very well ruin its life.

In a sense, it'll be like cutting pubes- so maybe not. Regarding that their whiskers aren't completely useless, I guess yes.

They're full of nerves, aren't they?

That would hurt the cat immensely, I would think.

just cause they're nerves doesnt mean the cat will feel pain. it will feel it, but not necessarily feel pain. there are different nerve receptors for pain, touch, cold, hot, and so on.

but i wouldnt cut them.

I don't think it would hurt them by cutting them, but doing so would affect how they act. Whiskers are used as an alternative sensing device when the eyes are no longer in use, like in the dark

The sensitivity of the hairs can register very small changes in air pressure, enabling the cat to avoid objects whilst moving around in the dark.

Yes it will hurt them. Cutting their whiskers will throw off their equalibrium, they will not feel well at all, please don't do that to your cat, it would be very cruel.

No but it's bad too

One of my teachers told me that they use that to see how like wide they are so if you cut they could get stuck in a tight space

The sensing part is where the whisker enters the skin. It will not hurt it but it could have impaired judgment and run into things until it grows back.

It wouldn't hurt it, but it'd throw off it's balance and it wouldn't be able to tell if it could fit into certain places or not.

So my question is. Can Pre-Cum fluid pass through my underwear, my jeans, onto and through her jeans, through her underwear, and impregnate her?

Cats use their whiskers to judge the sizes of spaces and do other cat like stuff with them.

However this question is largely hypothetical because the practise I imagine would be near impossible.

You're gonna need to get near this cat, with scissors on your person... and cats aren't stupid they know when something is about to go down.

You're gonna need to grab hold of and pin down this cat... I do not need to explain how difficult this will be but let me warn you cats have teeth and claws front and back. Bare in mind you're gonna have to do this one handed to wield scissors in your other hand.

If you get that far you deserve a some kind of medal.

Now you need to cut the whiskers on one side of this cat and then flip it over and do the other side.

You are not going to have an arm left.

Then a more appropriate thread title would be 'Would it hurt to cut a cat's whiskers?' Although a more appropriate response to that question would be why would you want to.
