Hey,

I need to restring my Strat and I have a set of Earthwood acoustic strings (10-13-17-30-42-52), which are the same gauge as Ernie Ball Slinky Heavy Bottoms. Will they work correctly? Will I have to make any specific adjustments for them to work? FYI: I've hard-tailed the bridge so string tension (I believe) wouldn't be a problem in that case, unless it would be too heavy for the neck?

Any help appreciated!

You may have to adjust the truss rod unless you already have the same guage strings on it.

Are they bronze or nickel strings? Bronze is non-magnetic, so it won't work.
