Do SS amps tend to have issues being in cool areas (50-65 degrees)? After moving my amp to my room which is always cold i notices the knobs are harder to turn and when i adjust the master volume it makes a buzzing noise while i turn it then it stops if i quit turning it. My other problem that came about is my speaker crackles now when playing notes on my 5 and 6 strings. I'm pretty sure my speaker isnt blown because i've had it up a lot higher before without any issues. BTW my amp is a Line 6 Spider III 15 watt

ideas?

i had a feeling that might be it. The salesmen when i bought my guitar swore by it, but now i wish i would have gotten another one. Within the next year or two i hope to upgrade to a tube though anyways

But seriously, the cold might have an effect on it. Move it back into the room you had it in before, let it warm up to room temperature, test it out, and see if the problems still occur.

Spray some WD-40 into the pot that is making noise, and work it around a bit....often that fixes the noise while turning.
