I've been singing for about a year now. I've developed pretty good pitch at low and moderate volumes, but when I try to increase in volume I lose my pitch. I know to project, and not yell, and I am careful to breath from my diaphram(sp). It doesn't hurt when I try to do it I just can't keep my pitch. I'm a very quite person in general so I may just need to build the muscles in my voice and I know it's something I need to continue to practice. All that being said are there any techniques or exercises you'd recommenced to improve the upper levels of my dynamic range?

It is very common when trying to project to "push" the voice, which results in the pitch going sharp.

The solution is to learn how to produce the voice so as to avoid having to push for projection.

Could I get some more talent in the monitors, please?

I know it sounds crazy, but try to learn to inhale your voice. www.thebelcantotechnique.com
