Hiya, I'm just curious on what an external speaker does, I have this beginner amp (laney HCM 30w) and I just love the clean tone on it (yes I'm aware of how crappy the crunch is one the amp). So if I hooked an external speaker up to it would it make it louder? or would the sound just have a surround sound affect to it?

sorry if I don't seem like I don't know what I'm talking about because I really don't.

Yeah, just a jack to attach a second speaker. It won't do much for the volume but might improve the sound qualtiy.

With a cheap little practice amp like that, it's no use unless you just happen to have a spare cab lying around - although you might like the tone, it's not worth spending any more when you could simply buy a new amp.

Alright thanks guys, I guess when I have the $$ I'll look into a louder amp
