Can I use DAP Lemon Oil Furniture Treatment on my fretboard? I know you shouldn't use furniture polish, but this is lemon oil.

I haven't treated my fretboard in about 8 months and it could use it.

Thanks

I wasn't sure. That is why I was asking. I may just go out and get a bottle of lemon oil designed for this.

I'd go get lemon oil for guitar, I don't trust the furniture stuff. It probably has lemon oil in it, along with a bunch of other chemicals that wont be good for your fretboard.

"Lemon oil" can be any of a number of things, some of which are OK for guitar, some of which aren't. It can be basically anything oily that smells like lemons. Get light mineral oil from your drug store instead and be 100% sure instead. It's always the same stuff, and works well on fretboards. Then use just a couple drops on a cloth - it doesn't ever evaporate in air, so a little goes a long ways.
