If i buy a USB guitar lead which is essentially a guitar jack at one end and usb input on the other, and used it on a pc, would i be able use any amp modelling software with it. Thx

Yes, I have the Lightsnake and it works well with Guitar Rig 4 and many other amp modelling software. Just be sure to install ASIO4ALL otherwise it will pretty much be a piece of shit http://www.asio4all.com/
