Hey, Im 14 years old and I shamefulley admit that I am the lead singer for my band.

Im really passionate about songwriting and sometimes spend weeks locked up behind doors writing new material but the problem is I just dont think im any good at singing... And I think im the worst singer ever.

On my profile there is an example demo song I recorded a few days back, its very incomplete but it should give you an indication to how bad my vocals really are.

In past performances on heavier songs with my band ive been told im quite good at singing and have a really unique voice but I think its all aload of BULLSHIT (obviously).. so please someone give me the run down on how bad I really am and what can I do to sound better?

Thankyou.

Well your not BAD, at least your not whinning like all the emo bands haha.

Put up some more stuff where you've got a little more power in your voice.
Fire it up, let the engines roll!
It's time to burn it down!
Keep bleeding on till the day you die!
Forever love it loud, yeah!

Ugh I hate emo bands, my lifelong dream has been to blow the EMO genre away and revive classic hard rock and metal..... but at the rate things are going I guess that will never happan =[

Thanks for all the comments people, I really apprechiate them... I started taking singing lessons just a week or so ago but there VERY hard and i struggle to move up scales and stuff.

Not bad at all, with a little work and practice.........you'll sound great. Lessons are a very good idea, your voice/vocal chords are still developing and you need to use proper techniques to prevent any long term damage.

If you like singing then just change your attitude, keep at it & allow yourself to develop.
shred is gaudy music

hey at least be grateful your voice has already fully changed at 14 and it's not constantly cracking
that automatically gives you a head-start compared to just about everyone else your age
