I'ed thought I try my had at grove metal once again, this time I did a few things different. The song is Quad tracked, and I used my new Hardwire Valvedistortion in Drop A to create this song. The lead guitar is crap, I know, I'm going to replace it when I get the time this week, but its just a basic idea improv. Its amazing, this song took up all my CPU in Reaper just to freaken play it, and I have a shit tone of CPU.

How do ya'll like it so far?

hehe quad tracking? I thought 2 was enough but this sounded very good man I realy like your tone, the drums sounds great, maybe a BIT too loud but not hard enough to annoy me, might be just my speakers though they're really crappy I realy enjoyed the part that starts at around 2mins, kinda a mix of happy and evil at the same time xD I say it's pretty good so far, but I agree you need to work on the leads hehe

Now crit mine please! xD https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1253580

the rhythm just sounded like your every day metal, not much to it. the lead was great though. your riffs are very catchy and cool to listen to. sounded very good with nice tone and all. only thing is you could maybe add a bit more spice to your soloing by playing a bit more "soulfully" instead of the shred-ish type solo you played. that might just be my bluesy tastes talking though.

I actually kinda like the tone. The leads definitely need more volume though. The riffs are simple but still good. The drums are a little loud IMO. Back them off just a little bit so we can hear what's going on with the guitars a little better. Overall I thought it was pretty solid. Might need a bit more leadwork if you plan on making this an instrumental

c4c....mine was recorded with audacity so dont expect great quality. Its an instrumental....idk...what do you think?

to be honest, i thought it was kinda bland....but then again, all groove metal is bland in my opinion....i like the solos, i thought the tempo was a bit to slow but overall i thought it was a good song as a whole.

I thought yours was good, the quality wasent all that great, but the song was awesome, I enjoyed it alot. I would try recording with a bit less gain and see if that clears it up a bit.

Thanks, my drum machine only goes so fast till its starts to make mistakes, plus its at 160 bpm, thats the fastest I've ever recorded a song at.
