Ok so after listening here I'v saved up enough to hopefully get a decent amp. I need a gig worthy amp. I play stuff along the lines as of TDWP, Blessthefall, As I Lay Dying, Uneroath, BFMV Also need good cleans. I'v looked at the Bugera 333xl and liking what I see and hear but would like some suggestions. budget is 800 USD MAX!

Nah I'm playing.

What is your budget?
Guitars:

1998 Squier Affinity Stratocaster

Amps:

Peavey Valve king 112

Money is just paper, but it affects people like poetry.

What exactly is your budget?

I picked up the JCA 20H with the cab a couple days ago. I absolutely love it. Can't stop playing on it. I've actually worn through my callouses by playing so much, probably upwards of 18 hours since I've had the amp. All of that constant playing has made my fingers look nasty

Does both cleans and high gain type stuff really well, very versatile. Super simple and fun to play on.

the bugera's sound good, but i have heard of reliability issues with them.

But then i also hear that thier customer support is also really good.

theres also a used Flextone 3 XL I found in my area, any good?

Edit: After looking more into the flextones I feel like I would rather get a tube amp.

I might be able to go to about 900 total so that would include a cab if it's a head What I would like to do is get a bugera 2x12 for 200 then upgrade speakers. so maybe like 700 max for a head?

He can do much better than a valveking on that budget

Amps to look at

JCA 100 watt head
Peavey XXX used
Peavey 6505+
Krank Rev Pro
Bugera 6262/333xl
Randall RM 20/50 with right modules used

EDIT: Wait if you already have a 6505 then why not just use that and get a nice clean amp and A/B between the two.

I would say look for a Used Peavey XXX, Bugera 6262, or Bugera 333XL.

What is it that you don't like about your 6505+?

EDIT: And yes, avoid Valveking's if you have that much to spend.

Ok! So after listening to reputable people here I've saved up enough money that will hopefully be used to buy myself a decent gig worthy amp. In your gear I see this:

Peavey 5150 combo

pretty sure that's what most of those bands use. And combo or not it'll be gig worthy for sure.

Also need good cleans.

Eq pedal?

or get an A/B pedal and a cheap amp with good cleans.

EDIT: Major Sparky said the same thing.

I'm thinking maybe a bugera 1990 (JCM900 clone) and a avatar 2x12?

Honestly you'd be better off getting a used JCM 900 or 2000 than a bugera, the reliabilty with the Bugeras aren't great and i keep hearing about the 1990's failing.

You might also look into an egnater rebel 30, or a Orange Dual terror.

They have a 1990 at my local GC and I played it for 30 minutes tonight, all problems I have heard about them have happened within the first few minutes of play right? I could be wrong, I'm not quite sure.

If I were to get a amp like the bugera V-55 What would be a good pedal to get me tones like the bands listed above? TDWP...etc.
