I am going to customize a strat and wanted to have one humbucker in the bridge position and only 1 single coil for in the neck.
I want to coil tap the humbucker so there have to be 4 wires and it has to sound good to when coil tapped.
Music I play is punk, blues metal and sometimes little funk so they have to be quite versatile. For the humbucker I was thinking of a seymour duncan sh-6 or an invader. and for the neck pick-up I really don't have a clue.

So could someone help me out?

Thanks in advance

seymour duncan SSL-1 in neck and SH-4 JB in Bridge.
dont get the, distortion or invader. they aren't that good.

also check out irongear pickups. only cost 25pound/pickup and they sound great.

Maybe the RockMonkey Swinging Warm in the Neck and the Vintage Original or Silverback.

You'll find whisky very different, but try it and you'll grow into it, soon you and whisky are one, but still two, lovers dancing across a frozen lake under moonlight, wrapped in honey and warmth.

Sums up whisky perfectly

If I take the Sh-4 is it possible to get that screaming distortion? And do they have the SSL-1 in white?

deffo listen to Irongear samples for the 'bucker. Probably Hot Slag or Steamhammer. Their SCs are not much better than anyone else's but might be worth a look.

Those Irongear pickups sound great indeed... What do you recommend from them as a single coil neck p'up. And also do they ship to the netherlands?

EDIT where do they sell them?

under prices, there is a hyperlink, "Available here". Click it.
Yes they ship to Netherlands.

Either the Texas Loco or the Pig Iron will be fine. The Texas Loco is a bit hotter than the Pig Iron.

Texas loco - SRV tone
Pig Iron - Hendrix tone

u decide
