I was going to do some aesthetic (is that the right word??) changes as well as tonal changes to my GCB-95. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with painting Crybaby's, what methods to use, is there a need to sand it down, painting the rubber foot pad... any and all help is appreciated.

someone made a thread where he painted the foot skeleton (like kirk hammet signature crybaby) with his own stencil. Ill give you the link in a second.

but he never answered me about how he built his stencil. He spraypainted it which looked a bit messy though

EDIT: Here's the link

Yeah I saw that. Didn't really like how it looked. i was more going along the lines of solid color. like color schemes. say blue pedal and white foot pad as an example.

I don't think you would need to sand it, as that might deform the ridges.

I would spray paint it as is, but tape over the rubber part first, and once the blue dries do the opposite, taping around the rubber pad. There doesnt seem to be a need to sand it down. But don't base all of your project on me haha. I'm about 90% sure it will be fine just with straight spray paint.
