So I've searchbarred and theres scattered information but I'd like to get some opinions from people who are playing these amps. My budget won't go above $400 and these are of the most interest to me at the moment. I'm playing an Epi LP standard and occasionally using a Korg AX3000G multi effects pedal. I currently play through a PA or a MG15CDR. Obviously stepping up to a better amp would be advantageous. The equipment would be moved regularly - this isnt going to sit in a basement for years.

So I'm currently interested in the Bugera V22 or Blackheart BH5-112 or the half stack version of the Blackheart. Max volume isn't a concern for me as when it's used on stage it would most likely be mic'd. Does anyone have experience with these amps with anything relevant to say about them? I'm open to other amps as well, but like I said these are the two that are on my radar right now.

bugera will have more headroom with the extra power tube. the bugera will be able to get fairly loud but won't have overly much headroom. the little giant will have hardly any headroom at all and probably have some trouble keeping up with a drummer.
punk isn't dead, it's always smelled that way.

Well we're sans-drums at the moment so that wouldn't be an enormous problem, but the headroom would be good. I don't use my pedal's amp/cab modeling capabilities for the most part so it's mostly used for tube screamer, wah, chorus, delay, reverb, that sort of thing, which opens up the capabilities on the Bugera for me a bit. I think that I would be fighting against the tubes on the Blackheart for cleans. Just not sure either way.

I'm in the Chicago metro area, but out west, about an hour from the city proper. There are two GC's nearby, a few scattered Sam Ash stores and a handful of local shops, but none carry Blackhearts or have a V22 in stock.

4x10 is quite nice but won't really fit in a Honda Civic. Blues Jr though.....

You'd be surprised. I used to haul my 1/2 stack to practice every week in Sunfire.
