Hello everyone,
I am a computer programmer, and also a part-time guitarist.
For the last days I've been playing with signal processing and sound effects, but always in an "offline" manner(only manipulated samples).

I would like to know if there is a way to create custom digital effects, possibly using a foot pedal of some kind, that would process real-time audio.
When I mean create custom effects, I mean being able to send in compiled/interpreted code which processes the signal, code that I will have written.

Please tell me if I have not made myself clear, english is not my native language.

Thanks for any ideas you might have!

Yamaha Magic Stomp?

Maybe with some kind of MIDI programmable footswitch.

Hmm's Line 6's module does not support C programming(although it claims so )

Any other thoughts?

Line6's pod is exactly what I am looking for, it just lacks so much support for C programming...
