I'm British and therefore it is grammatically correct to use 'colours'. I think 'colors' is standard in the US.

This thread is pretty pointless.
The lives of thousands in my hands
I’ve come to take back what’s rightfully mine and now you’re damned
The lights grow dark in their homes
But our road is lit by fire from the sky
So we push forward

Colour. When I read books by American authors and see color, I read it as collar. The first time I read one, I wasn't aware people spelt it as colour, and was confused for the whole book.

Colours.

Does anyone know why there are two different spellings of the word? Did someone just for fun take out (Or put in) a "u"?

colours = British
colors = American's butchering of the language.

I'm American, btw.

No but really, I don't know why.
